riri has definitely become one of my favorite side characters, i’m endlessly charmed by her and her super gay crush on yona. i just love seeing people of all types being inspired by yona, both for her determination and her burgeoning combat abilities!!!

every time i make a conscious effort to refrain from reading queer subtext into something i’m suddenly smacked so hard across the face with GAY. riri absolutely has a crush on yona, one of those classic ones that start out as genuine girl power admiration and very quickly spiral into hopeless crush territory

the tenderness between yona and hak makes me want to sob. their love is just SO beautifully written, it jumps off the page and hugs me as tightly as they hold each other. i hope it continues to be this effective as they inevitably get even closer and eventually confess

wow. the buildup of hak and su-won’s first real encounter was well worth it for the absolute brilliance that was this chapter. SO cinematic, so emotionally effective, so brutal, i had chills the entire time. LOVE that jaeha stepped in first to try to subdue hak and that su-won said NOTHING and stayed completely still. that flashback spread at the end was just devastating i’m so in awe!!!!!!
