Complete change of pace. The choice to have the reader in the perspective of Klara the AF shadowing the relationships and life of a young woman, Josie. Her voice is unheard but her observations and learning become the centre plot of her story. Humans in this are in an interconnected group of prestige and surface level personalities, while the AF is the most appreciative of life and emotion.
