Chapter on Poetry:
The examples given are mostly reinterpretations of various Psalms, Taylor calls them translations - which they are not. While Taylor uses incorrect terminology, it does underline perhaps our responsibility to reinterpret the Psalms in our own language, as a practice.

The only issue I have with this book so far takes place in Taylor's introduction where he calls The Message, Eugene Peterson's "translation." The Message is not considered a translation by any Bible scholar. It is a wonderful paraphrase, not unlike the Living Bible was before the New Living Translation took the paraphrase and gave it proper translation treatment and credibility.
