A Question of Price is easily the best vignette of the book so far. It is tense & exciting as the political landscape, cultural oaths and bounds, & personal history of the characters is carefully unfolded. that being said it left me with more of a sour taste in my mouth than any of the rest of the chapters have yet. When contrasting duny & pavetta with geralt & ciri it’s impossible not to see wife husbandry plainly

like of course the cultural institutions of the world work in favor and support the right of a man to sneak into a fourteen year olds room at night and get her pregnant based on the ownership of her given to him by her father before she was born. and everyone cheered about having two weddings
