i just don’t think this is for me :/ it feels much more like a slow burn romance set in a slightly fantastical world than a fantasy book with a romantic subplot. it almost reminds me of s.t. gibson’s Evocation a bit? (which, for the record, i did really enjoy, but i knew upfront it was a romance)(or maybe it’s just the word association, idk)
