Okay now that I have gotten through that info heavy intro, I feel like I can finally start to get more into the plot! I appreciate that there is a magical glossary and a ship anatomy image, but having a glossary/key for the crew lingo may have also been helpful! It's easy to get lost when the characters throw around terms that I assume most readers won't inherently know

Really still unsure on how I'm feeling- which is hard with how far in I am. I am not connecting with any of the characters, and I still feel bogged down by the lingo.
