Love is an act of courage that always begins from lowering one's self defenses and encountering one's vulnerability, then learning to bear that weakness without displacing it to external others. Love is thus strength and patience. I still have questions, though. How to tell when I really am experiencing emotional abuse, or it is just something I am hallucinating? Not sure if hooks can answer, but this is a start.
