I knew a lot of things in that moment. I knew Raff had found somebody who actually loved him. A proper best friend. And… I knew that I wanted to know what it would feel like to be on the receiving end of that smile.

Like maybe those two hearts brushing shoulders while they strolled through the park actually haven’t been beaten to death by the spectre of a breakup.

Loving her made me think about death. In a good way. It was a gift. It was because I wasn’t scared to go. Not when I had her.
