I'm sure Phyllis is supposed to be bristly & annoying on purpose, but Sampson is REALLY leaning into that hard... To the point I find it difficult to empathize with the character. She's just so damn selfish!!

I know Phyllis and Michael's big reveal is supposed to make us feel sorry for her, but like... Plenty of other women lived through the same life circumstances and didn't become a$$h0l35 to everyone? And frankly, Nova's fiance is completely right. She is behaving recklessly, dangerously even! It's only cute in a book when it "all works out" in the end.

I cannot STAND this crotchety old bag Phyllis!! So entitled, selfish, rude, pushy, stubborn!!! I just want her to SHUT UP and stop interrupting Nova all the damn time. I don't even care if her stupid theories end up being correct.
