she’s not even a girlboss she’s just stupid. also what is the fixation on children. are adults not deserving of care as well? every time something happens diem is like omg the children what if there’s children. so if 500 adults died you wouldn’t care?

agonizing over breaking the sacred vows of a healer but also trained as a warrior and constantly takes pride in being able to kill and fight and maim people. where’s the consistency???

this book is so much shorter than i assumed. it’s also bad.
thinking about how we have tunics and swords and villages and all these other hallmarks of medieval fantasy and she’s calling people sleazebag. i’m all for chocolate in fantasy worlds, i don’t think you have to explicitly explain triangle trade so the main character can eat some chocolate, but sleazebag is the most asynchronous insult you can use
