The Solidarity Service in Brave New World feels eerily familiar. Bernard goes through the motions that mimics religious worship, hymns, chanting, communal ecstasy, and the anticipation of a ‘coming of the god’ yet he doesn’t believe a word of it. Huxley’s scene is like an observation on how easily today’s people can be swept into collective rituals without reflection, much like certain modern religions.

This feels eerily similar to the current political MAGA party. They behave as if they’re fresh off the assembly line from the ford baby making factory— genetically modified, oxygen deprived and conditioned hard to be ignorant, hateful and afraid.
