I really loved this book in the end. I didn’t see the tie in with Monique (?) ‘s dad. That was smart. And I liked the ending it was sad but at the same time there was a leave of contentness and satisfaction. Time was wasted but Evelyn ended up where she should have. I can’t really criticise the book, I think I would give it 90%, but I’ll round it up to 5 stars cause can’t justify rounding down.

I liked Celia less, knew it was coming and still hit harder ??

I really cannot imagine what this terrible thing is everything is sweet and good and it’s obvious that Celia will die from her illness and we know Conor dies from cancer, the only thing I can think of is like a mercy killing but then the writer whatever her name is wouldn’t hate her surely and she said something like little did I know I’d hate her in x days, like why her too I still have no idea

Surprisingly didn’t find Harry’s death sad at all? I really liked him throughout but something about it didn’t hit

Celia kinda annoys me sorry, I see the love but stoppppp there’s no winning with her

V obvious Hugo wants to go assisted suicide route and too many mentions of Vivienne? Is that her name? ‘s father, the additional “the name my father gave me” hints at something idk what though, guessing her father knew Hugo or something and she has some connection maybe?

Calling it now, it’s giving Devil Wears Prada, the young one will have to impress Hugo and get the inside scoop. I’m fine if this is a fun predictable read, this is a pallet cleanser for me🤞🏻
