This isn’t the type of book I normally read, but I’m about halfway through and very glad I gave it a chance.
The premise is a near-future America where prisoners fight in televised death matches for public entertainment and the chance to earn their freedom.
Not a light read, but if you like books that make you think about the world (and maybe feel a little unsettled about it) this one is worth checking out.
