Can’t wait to finish in one sitting

Yesss!!! Big YES to this book!!! It’s causing me to examine my own lens which I view the people around me and how it’s shaped by CENTURIES worth of history. This is what makes it a 5 star read

Love it, it’s getting more narrative style from author but I really appreciate nonetheless. I can’t wait to read an Alice Walker book!

LOVE IT !!! So interesting tracing back history and keeping things as factual as possible, while also inserting authors own interpretations. This a 5 star read for me so far, and I have yet to give a 5 star in 2026
