i think some localization choices make things more confusing than anything - its not like swapping an immortal for a celestial would make it clear to an average joe what the heck is going on. at least standard xianxia terms can be easily looked up.

A chinese hand stove? It’s a small thing you carry cupped in your hands, usually translated as just “hand warmer” (they use it a lot in QJJ)
