Sarah J Maas was right about the biting

I have honestly never understood why Maas set out to make nesta so genuinely unlikeable in this first book to the point where she doesn’t have any characters traits that are good? So she covets what other people have, she bullies their father, she ignores her sisters, AND she doesn’t do any work??
