Dnf at 13%. Something about the formatting (no paragraphs and long run-on sentences) combined with the casual and constant vulgarity of the writing just isn't working for me.

Adrienne, I made it to the end, but I felt beaten to a pulp when I got there. I don't blame you for tossing it into the DNF bin. It takes a lot out of a reader to wade through all the profanity, deviant sex, and brutality. By the end of it, I'd forgotten that I was reading a whodunit about the murder of the town witch. Maybe your next read will be better. 😊

Thank you, Vicki! You are clearly a tougher nut to crack than me :). It was making me feel anxious, and not in that good scary horror way, if you know what I mean.
I know what you mean Adrienne. I almost DNF'd several times. I only stuck with it through determined will power. The end made it worth it for me, but I'll never read another book formatted like this one again. I think you dodged a bullet, lol 😆
