What I’d give for a Radical Republican these days…

Edit: make that the role of church AND military!

A lot of thoughts on the mind, starting with: how central American citizenship is to the struggle (in opposition to colonization/deportation), the narrative of a global democracy, the power of a visual document - photo, drawing or otherwise, the importance of the military, what it took to intertwine emancipation with the war effort, & a separate fight for equal protection/dignity under the law + land reparations
