This may be hypocritical as I am reading this book next to my cat, but where the fuck did this book cat come from?! The air?! Its never been a thing, and now she's here with Florian asking him to take care of a cat she's been taking care of off page with no clues? Get all the way out

Ummm what is this backstory?

I have no idea where this book is going. I don't know which characters to care about in any way. I'm bored? I took a pause reading this to read the Wings that Bind and devoured that book in a way that made me realize reading this one feels a little painful.

I feel like I don't truly know enough about these characters to care about their path, their motivations, their decisions.

It's just kind of meh right now
