Damn, I'm really slogging through this one... It's a shame, because the concept itself is really cool, but it just feels very slow. It's not clear what we're aiming at, what's really driving this story?! Harry is hanging out, Dragostani is power-hungry, but why should I care?! Why don't you make it clear, Mr Lumley????

Seeing how long this series is, I am perhaps not surprised how slowly the author is setting up the story for us.. We're not yet sure what the conflict/drive of this book is yet - we're building up to an event, but apart from that we're learning about the supernatural abilities and vampires of this world. I'm not a big fan of the spy/secret organisation elements, sounds gibberish to me. Waiting for sth big to happen
