Day 12: “Something Real” by Julie Murphy
Beginning was good, thought I knew where it was going. By the middle I was more invested. By the end, I knew what was happening. But at the VERY end, was not expecting that. I just thought they were going to be best friends😂😂 super cute anyways:)

I’m HEARTBROKEN!! I was really hoping for an alternate ending, I can’t say this without spoilers. My heart goes out to Phillip🥺💕 he deserves the world. And so does Blythe. I didn’t want this story to end!!

Day 10: “The Unlikely Likelihood of Falling in Love” by Jocelyn Davies
I don’t think there’s one of these short stories I *HAVEN’T* liked. First, we love a girl in STEM🥳🫶🏻 second, was not expecting to see the name of my junior year of HS teacher (but physics) in a book, totally crazy. Third, I understood this. I think fate can be real, but it’s all God’s doing. I need to look into this author.

This was PRECIOUS!! I want a whole book for these two🥹🥹🥹 this is the kind of meet cute I need. I did notice one spelling error, though… but otherwise, I loved this one!

Day 7: “The Way We Love Here” by Dhonielle Clayton
Omg this was fascinating! Was this magical realism? It was a bit of time travel, but also bits of a unique culture and how they perceive love and how their loves come into their lives. I’m so intrigued and need to read more by this author!

Day 6- “Somewhere That’s Green” by Meredith Russo
This was so sweet 🥹 I’m pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this one. Everyone is human, no matter what gender or sexual orientation or anything. We all deserve the same respect. I’m glad Nia and Lexie got a little bit of an HEA.

By far my favorite. Actually teared up at the end. This was super cute, touching, and well-written. I’d definitely be interested in reading a full novel by this author!

Day 4: “Click” by Katherine McGee (I’m severely behind)-
This one was ACTUALLY about Valentine’s Day AND was a meet cute!! Also almost made me cry because of the circumstances surrounding the FMC to start dating🥺 I really enjoyed this.

“Hourglass” by Ibi Zaboi is about an 18 year old high school senior named Cherish who is discovering that beauty is what you make of it, and that all body types and skin colors are beautiful. A very sweet coming of age story:)
