Again, it’s nuts that Eric here seems to be constantly waving around the conspiracy theories of an elite cabal of government pedophiles as the strongest evidence of right wing lunacy when, unfortunately, the elite cabal of government pedophiles is real! Puts the whole book into a slightly precarious stance if you ask me

It’s always interesting to see the points where these kinds of studies look for solutions. This book seems to be implicitly in support of law enforcement and the legal system, despite the overwhelming evidence that the American justice system is particularly soft on white supremacy and hate groups, to the point where the military and police are filled with members, as the book itself points out. Where’s the line?

It’s unfortunate that Lichtblau appears to be a mostly competent reporter because if he allowed himself and extra degree of editorializing he’d be willing to pour forward the point that we keep seeing this story repeated through the book-a young ostensibly white man grows up in conservative households, often middle or upper class, and then “mystifyingly” becomes a white supremacist! Who could have thought?!
