This is looking to be my favorite Dresden novel, Harry is at rock bottom and he's a real mess but it's a surprisingly earnest look at a person trying to get better after a world-destroying personal (and public) tragedy. His frustrated efforts to try and help Chicago get back on its feet mirror his own halting efforts to put himself back together, unclear if either can ever be whole again. Great stuff.

Still waiting on that win for Harry... however, for the first time in... a lot of books, Harry actually has people around him trying to help him get better not just loading him down with impossible expectations (he's got those too, but it's nothing compared to the "blood-sucking-Chupacabra-brain-eating-zombie-ancient-Mayan-Gods-come-to-life-weird-voodoo-curses-with-goat-heads and what not bad" of prior books)
