I started reading ebook instead of listening to audiobook and I like it a bit more now

And what is with the whole discovery of mitochondria thing and then him being like oh what’s their energy source? THE WHOLE POINT OF MITOCHONDRIA IS TO MAKE ATP so why would u make them have a diff energy source, it’s not mitochondria then 😭😭😭😭

My latest gripes with this book:

“I have the US military on my side that’s pretty powerful don’t you think” and “tell the corrupt North African leaders to not get in the way” okay sure I thought you didn’t want politics in fiction andy weir?

Sorry to be a hater but this is just not good so far!! It’s very unrealistic from the dialogue to the international coalition to the scientific process 😫. It feels like if every tumblr comment got turned into a book. “and then everyone clapped”
