I’ve borrowed the audiobook. There’s no way I was going to get through this book without it. Brevity is the soul of wit, Andy.

I took astronomy in college and still feel like I don’t know what these people are talking about.

I feel like I’m not getting anywhere with this book. Andy Weir is not very good with pacing. I liked the stuff with Rocky, but my brain melts every time things get too science and math heavy.

Just watched an interview with Andy Weir. He said he starts with the science and builds a plot around it and then begrudgingly creates characters. That explains a lot. After watching that interview, I realize these characters are basically just him in different scenarios.

The science is equally fascinating and boring. How is that possible? I’ve always liked science, but I’m too stupid to understand it.
