Loving this book so far. More tightly written than the first and at least another PoV. This series is vastly underrated. Cook should be a fantasy household name like Jordan, Martin and Sanderson. Of course, Steven Erikson should be as well. Alright, I’ll get off my soapbox.

I really enjoyed the first book and am really excited to start this one since I’ve heard a lot of the fandom likes it. Crazy to see some chapters are literally 1-2 pages long. The Black Company series is the most entertaining thing I’m reading as of late.
