I am reading the physical book along w/ the audiobook. I LOVED the 1st book's narrator, and I was eager to hear her performance in the 2nd book. Well, they changed the narrator for Gormflaith, and she is terrible! 😭 She doesn't capture the character's personality. She narrates aloofly, and there are so many poor edits. I will only listen to Aoife's narration and read the rest without the audiobook.

Oh, how I wish I could jump into this book and live in its world. This story is so beautiful.

Satyam Mishra Audiobook with bad narration sucks... 🥲. So, is the voice doesn't match with character's personality? Or something else

There is no emotion in her voice. Very monotone. She is just reading from the page, not performing. The pacing is bad, and her tone does not match the scenes. Just overall, a very poor narrator. I cannot listen to it.

Satyam Mishra I can understand audiobook mustn't be monotonous I can myself read word to word, then what's the difference it'll create, and best audiobook I liked was Stormlight by graphics audio. I am not much of audiobook person I more like to read myself and I can get distract easily while listening 🥲

Satyam Mishra I have not read for the last 20 days stuck in some work. I hope I'll soon get time to read again.

I understand that. I never listen to an audiobook on its own. I always have to read the physical book myself with it. I also get distracted if it's just the audiobook. Makes complete sense! And hopefully you'll get to read soon. I always look forward to your book updates! I wish you the best in your work!
