Marcellus is playing his faith bold, which makes me both so proud of him, and also so nervous for him! What an amazing character—he’s really inspiring me in how seriously he is taking his faith. He really grabs hold of “Hey, if I believe this to be true, then it has to affect the way I live,” and I have so much admiration for him!

This chapter contains an annoyance of mine—but I am otherwise enjoying this one SOOO much, maybe even more than I did the first time I read it! My annoyance is Douglas’s “reduction” of the miracle of the feeding of the 5000 to a “miracle of generosity” as opposed to a “miracle of multiplication”.
