It’s not really what they were preaching but how they were preaching. The pastor yells throughout the entire sermon, there was a lot of guilt tripping to be at the church all the time (and I totally get wanting to be at church a lot but the message was “you should go to church all the time because you’re a bad Christian if you don’t” and there was a message often said that we needed to be at church when Jesus comes back or else we might not get raptured.

There was also a lot of bashing on other denominations and Catholics, which is just causing unneeded division in the Church Family

Ohhhh yeah, that doesn't sound like the best environment . . . praying for you hun! I know how hard it can be to find a good church, we've been trying for years and I've pretty much given up trying to find somewhere I belong 😭

As someone who PHYSICALLY is not capable of being at church all the time, W.O.W.. Being at church does not make nor break a Christian; we really are supposed to go to church to be with other believers and grow together!
And, yeah, there is definitely not one specific denomination that will to Heaven, considering that being saved is based on the individual...
I hope you guys can find a church that is more loving and grounded in Christ.

Our family has too sadly. Ever since COVID (and before that) we’ve been hopping from church to church. For about two years we were at a big church we really liked, then the pastor retired and we moved, and we tried this one out, and it was nice at first but we started to just notice patterns that we not lining up with scripture

Thank you so much Shades, and I totally agree with you! And same, I get sick often (weak immune system) and it often leads me to being on bedrest for days in a row and being unable to breathe most of the time (I also have weak lungs). I had to miss three weeks of church because I was so sick

I feel ya! I have a few autoimmune issues along and chronic migraines along with asthma, so hearing something like that breaks my heart. But know you are not alone (particularly not in the health department, anyhow 😅) and good churches are out there!
