It’s still a good story. I wish you got more chapters in the present with Nicole. I feel like it’s more heavily focused in the past with Alys.
I also wish the author gave more of a haunted house story. Like Alys haunting Nicole in the present while she’s at the manor. It’s lightly talked about when Nicole first gets there and that’s it.

So far I love it. I didn’t know how I felt about the past and Alys’s demise right at the beginning. The story is more about how she go to that point.

The past with Nicole is proving to be a good mystery for sure, and a little romance as well.

So far I love it. It keeps me wanting to turn the page. I also feel for Alys, and not being able to make her own choices in life. Most women did not get to make a whole lot of choices in the 17th century.
