I'm disappointed that Shaw doesn't know why Rosy doesn't want to bond with her. That she thinks she doesn't have feelings for her & that it ended without knowing her reaction to what Rosy's grandfather told her.

Since Rosy thought Shaw was just using her for power, I don't get why she doesn't just ask her to get her land back in exchange for her help or just because it's the right thing to do.

I knew that the Witch King wasn't good. But will Shaw believe Rosy if she doe tells her? Who will she be more loyal to?

Well that was tragic. Still, I can't help but wonder if the King attacked them first, since one of the men involved said: "He wishes to set our kingdom ablaze? This is our answer!" It feels more like a response. Is Shaw's dad really who she thinks he is, or is he lying to her? And did he have Rosy's grandfather killed & if so, why?

This is taking me so long to finish!

It's frustrating that they haven't really explained the difference between the types of witches & familiars & what each of their proposes are. All you get a little facts here & there that you have to try to piece together.

Shaw swore on her honor not to trap Rosy in a bond, so it's messed up that she's taking their courtship seriously when they agreed it was fake!

I'm confused. Rosy says that witches & familiars rarely married because the witch-familiar bond had so many more advantages. At first, I thought that meant that their bond was usually platonic, but so far, all the bonded pairs are couples. I just don't understand why getting married would influence or change the advantages of their bond.
