The female persuasion seem to unanimously feel this is one of the all-time greats. I, personally, was bored to tears. The plot was great, which is why I read it, but the writing didn't work for me at all. I really hope it's a winner for you. 😊

You know, I completely understand why because it's quite clear the story is overwritten - so far, I don't mind because it's also very immersive, but I think I'll have to take a break somewhere in the middle for something more fast paced 🤭 It's probably the case of loving the characters so much most readers don't mind at all spending so much time with them ❤️ Thank you, Daniel!

Exactly ... with my miniscule attention span, I need a fast-paced, dialogue and action driven story. But that's just me. 😂 I do remember *enjoying* the second half much more ... so, I guess, hang in there? 😝 I'm confident you'll be happy you read it. 😊

Very relatable! 😂 The characters are very lovely though, so I don't think (🤞🤞) I'll have troubles hanging in ❤️

ok. this book is so so so lovely. sydney and james are fantastic. but the book is, imo, unnecessarily long, and the pacing could've been improved with a better edit. you may need to take a break or even read something else at the same time (that's what I did and it definitely helped).

Fingers crossed, this is one of my all time favourites! Yes, it’s long, but I loved every single moment💕🤞🏻

No surprise there but I'm absolutely with you on this - the characters are incredible and I love them, no question, but it's definitely overwritten, I have to start skimming some of the musings and descriptions before my attention starts slipping. Otherwise, it truly is lovely so far! And I'll for sure throw a different book in the middle so my interest doesn't wane (rough days at work also don't help, not gonna lie). Thank you so much for your insight, natasha, invaluable as always! ❤️
