As with Cowboy I picked this up because I'd reorganized my books and found a pile of poetry collections/anthologies that I wanted to read or re-read. I wanted something that would stop me doom-scrolling. I skipped the introduction so was surprised to find some of the first poems are Latin, Welsh, Old Norse, Old French, Anglo-Saxon and Gaelic (with translations, obvs.)
