I'm not sure it's worth reviewing. Predictable, ordinary and then some. I had high hopes from the start but the author dashed them half way through and made it worse as the obvious plot played out.

Mediocre at best though it began nicely. Walter uses far too much dialog in my opinion and adds unnecessary back story that slows momentum.

I'm thinking this is a 3.5 star rating due to overuse of back story and somewhat predictable plot

Going along nicely until the author slows the pace with numerous chapters of unnecessary back story. Never a good idea to stall the momentum when readers are awaiting the next twist.

As the plot plays out it appears that I may not have read it previously though it is similar to another story. Regardless it's nicely paced and engaging

I have a sneaking suspicion I may have read this before; either that or another book with a similar plot though not sure how likely it is..the blending of family and redemption makes for an engaging narrative

One of the more engaging stories I've read in quite a while! While it's not mystery it's difficult to put down. Bravo to Mr Walter!

And then he throws in humor. Kinnick has a close friend named Brian who is Native American. When the grandson asks if he has an Indian name he says, 'I am known as standing water. My older sister is flooded basement and my younger brother is ruined carpet' Hilarious!

Interesting.. An ex addict turned Jesus freak who belongs to a right wing cult battles with a living off the grid father in law after his daughter abandons him and leaves the children to their grandfather. Hoping the rest of the story isn't overloaded with Bible quotes lol
