He keeps thinking about her because of the weird interaction, but it’s surprised when she shows up at his office and apologizes for the awkwardness. She says that she’s not used to conversation whether she spends most of her time alone.

Abigail is definitely Liz

I don’t love the way this author writes. It feels kind of corny in some moments and shallow and others.

Chief of police in a small town in the Ozarks watches Abigail walk into a market. He follows her and tries to have a conversation, but she quickly leaves and head home. He spots a gun under her sweater so he ends up meeting her at her house, which is all locked up with a big dog and several guns and security cameras. He tries to be friendly and she does not bite.

The gun handling is a checovs gun. On the night of this 17th birthday, her watchers give her gifts and she’s excited. She made meatballs thinking that they forgot about her birthday.

During the shift exchange, they are attacked by men that had gotten into the mafia
On a POV switch, we learn more about Sergei and his home life he talks about having Liz’s mother watched while at a cookout

Liz reunites with her mother which is really a scolding about how much of an idiot liz has been and how much of an inconvenience it will be for her.
There is no warmth or emotion behind it. John and Terry feel more like parents to her than her own mother.

They move to a new house, more secure and have Liz under house arrest for > a month. She picks up cooking and learns a bit of self defense and arms training

The me accused Alex of stealing from their boss and killed him then Julie when she walked into the room. Liz saw the whole thing. Ilya knew she was there and asked about her but when he saw her he didn’t say anything.

She ran and was picked up by the cops. They questioned her thankfully for her memory and were astounded by her memory and their great fortune. She is staying in a safe house

Liz and Julie leave the club with Julie’s friend Alex. Liz was originally into the idea but after her guy backed out she started to feel sick and only wanted to sit outside. Alex tried to swing both of them knowing full well they were too young but Liz got sick. Coming out of the bathroom Liz saw J and A tutting on the couch and went outside. She drifted asleep and awoke to the sound of men talking

And when they do they find a table, order cosmos and scope out the floor. L finds she loves dancing. J gets the attention of one of the club owners, flirting. Another comes over, L speaks Russian to him because she knows he’s part of the Russian mob.

The first sentence of the book mentions that her rebellion ends in blood. Who is going to die? Julie?

Her mother leaves and she takes the car and a card to the mall where she runs into a girl she knew from school named Julie. J recently broke up with her boyfriend and comments on how she would love a fake id. They make a trade, Liz making her a fake so they can go clubbing and J helping L buy clothing. J looks past L’s formal way of speaking and helps her be more normal.

They make it into the club
