This book is wonderfully put together between the broader history, solidly supported, and the individual stories along with discussion of the arguments and issues, going forward to the present, and thoughts in future, which I entirely agree with, having been in some of those circles of rationalization of wrongs in the past

What is the incentive? Stop the pain is incentive to say what is wanted; it’s not incentive for truth when the questioner automatically disbelieves the truth bc it doesn’t fit their story
