I will still be able to hear all the noise from the world beyond – the roar of traffic mothers controlling their children, couples arguing, groups of drunken men singing the whole of ambulances and police cars – and realise nothing, in truth, separates me from the madness outside;once I am within the boundary protected as strange as the sounds, I belong to it maybe it is the smell of safety.

Chaotic family dynamics are always so interesting. Especially seeing how they play out in different cultures.

This don’t feel romantic but jay is romanticising it.
