I love it when Darcy calls for our dear Colonel to help him with Wickham. I think this was the most exciting part of the book. OMG!! I love this guy. Oh-my-gosh, he was military all the way and so smart in the negotiations. Oh, he knew just what to do and what to say. I love him! This part was the best. Be still my heart... or, maybe I've had too much caffeine.

Charlotte has secretly sent a letter warning Lizzy that Lady C is on the war-path and has assured Anne that D will not marry that chit. Caroline has spoken out against Jane and her family, and Charles heard her. Charles declared his intentions toward Jane by asking for a third dance at his ball. And now... yeah, you guessed it, Lydia and Wickham. Charles has disappeared and Darcy is headed to London.

Finally E&D settle their differences. OK... where is the ax that is about to fall? It's here somewhere... I can feel it. When things smooth out for ODC something always happens.

Well it has hit the fan now. Lizzy dropped Darcy's letter, one sheet escaped, found by a servant, and given to Lady C. She confronted E and after their verbal duel, sent her in a fast carriage back to her London relatives. Lady C confronted D with both barrels. He came to Cheapside to make it right, but found instead a stubborn, headstrong girl who refused him for the 2nd, or was that the 3rd, time. Poor Darcy.
