This part of the book talks all about privacy and all the issues that Facebook has had with privacy. Including an example that talked about how in 2018 reports at the Cambridge analytics revealed how Facebook used user information to aid Trump campaign and to tilt the presidential election results.

First amendment rights applies to foods. However, the court agreed that there is no consensus that genetically modified food is not natural so therefore they can sell us genetically modified food posing as natural even when it’s not.

Im really enjoying this book so far. The third chapter was all about invisible chains that keep us hooked on technology and social media. It highlighted how the tech industry will say you need to take more personal responsibility while simultaneously robbing you of the ability to limit your screen time because it’s so easily accessible.

This chapter focused all on the idea of addiction to technology and how it has impacted the youth and people’s interactions with one another. I didn’t know the DSM 5 now includes non-substance addictions. Loved the exam about Reddit and how site like that acts on your reward system.
