The writing in this book in my humor.

“A misguided one. Probably. I warned you not to do Crime Hive,” Oscar said in his most annoying older brother I-told-you-so tone, which he used on the regular. Almost anything Oscar ever said, made me want to scream “You’re not the boss of me!” and run to my room and slam the door.
“I’m a grown-ass adult,” I said, instead.
