Feeling like Mr Koontz has been watching Faux news and am feeling sad. First reference to MS13 i thought was maybe a joke. Second reference to all the illegals in the road with fake licenses seems more serious. As someone who has been reading Koontz for 35+ years, this brings me sorrow.
On a less political note, the tone in this novel is different from his previous iterations. Somewhat absurdist.
