Three separate goddesses for deaths seems like a lot. Not to mention this has to have some overlap with the three mothers that the witches pray too. Everything seems to come in threes.

I totally get why this is half of my friends favorite book of the series. I think I still am between this and heir of fire though. I feel like heir really just has that turning point moment.

Do I still hate Chaol? yes, 100%. Do I think that this chapter does a good job in justifying him a little bit? Yes, I do. He was a spoiled petulant child and at times I feel like I can see him realizing that? That being said, I do have to keep reminding myself that he is 24 years old. I am 24 years old. You have to be the adult when you’re hanging out with teenagers.
