A few more jumps in logic over the past couple of chapters, especially the driving decision of the main character. I doesn't make sense to me that somebody had not thought of it already. The story is getting a little more interesting since the Partials are more involved, but I still don't know what they are. Also, still a little too much "good times" in the dialogue for my taste.

Finally some conflict! The story really begins around chapter 15. Still a few issues an editor should have noticed, but at least the story is moving well through the middle and the characters are facing serious problems.

So far I'm not impressed with Partials. It needs better editing (does Kira have a shotgun or an assault rifle? And can Ariel be heard through the glass or not) and the characters are a little flat at this point. I do like that the story takes place in an area I am familiar with, but I'm hoping that I find out who the Partials are pretty soon because that's the only thing keeping me reading.
