So far when I think about this book, all I can think about is Sabrina Carpenter’s latest album that came out in 2025 titled Man’s Best Friend. Specifically these two songs: Tears & When Did You Get Hot?

This book is a slow burn, he fell 1st, yearning, etc.

This book also makes me think of the song Hurricane by Luke Combs. The FMC is referred to as a hurricane sometimes throughout the book.

Chapter 13, “Tell me his fucking name?” James is such a sweetie. He would get on a plane and punch this guy for what he did.
