I know that this is not a fault on a history book but all the direct quotes from letters etc are hard to follow. 🤷‍♀️

The book is quite dense- not sure I remember much when I put it down. May need to reread this at some point

Last chapter required quite a bit of googling but I think I followed most of it. Interesting

Made progress - audiobook is helping. I am trying to go down the googling rabbit hole ... not very successfully at times though.
