I cannot do it. I tried. I did. I hate the way this is written. The language and syntax feels all wrong for the story. The voice feels very inexperienced with writing.
The man lead is such a gross, misogynist. He shows up, totally disrespects her and then hires her to a job without even telling her what it is or getting any sort of real consent.

The title has be on the defense because it’s so unimaginative. I also typically do not like the single parent trope. But I’m hear for a black author and an interracial romance.
