Likely so, but the way this man is actively telling himself “Eh, O’Brian likely is just another legit member of the Party, but what if he wasn’t because *I* don’t believe in this?” MAMA… THE RAT CAGE BEHIND YOU…

Very sad to see one of my least favorite things about Hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy make an appearance in 1984: infodumping about your world instead of skillfully world building throughout the novel. Why am I reading a book within a book?!?

I still don’t trust Julia. Especially after that disgareement she has with Winston, I EXTRA don’t trust her…
