This is the most "tell, don't show" book I've ever read. And I can't tell if it's a genre thing or a García Sáenz de Urturi thing.

I don't read detective novels often, and I'm cackling at the clunky exposition. So many conversations where the detective is like, "Please tell me what this book is about" with the other character filling him in.

Not into the sections written in the second person, I'm glad they eventually switch to third person, BUT it does make me wonder why there was a need for second person then.
