completed Book IV. It covered more virtues including some without names for the states of deficiency or the mean or the excess. These are harder to grasp since we do not have words and hence rigid concepts for such states. Nevertheless they are worth consideration in order to fully grasp how to look for the mean in everything and reach the virtue of character.

completed Book III on Bravery and (In)temperance. I am probably an incontinent person aiming to be continent and eventually temperate.

completed Book II which talks about virtue and how to find the mean states while cultivating one's virtue of character. It contrasts and points out various examples and general opinions and solves the puzzles that we come across when thinking about virtue of character.

completed Book 1. The 3rd edition of EN is so heavily annotated that the reading is quite difficult. It took me 12 hours of extra reading (all included in the book) to get started.
Aristotle's way of inquiry is quite refreshing. He is looking for the ultimate good. Not only does he give importance to the general opinions but he also uses them as tools to look for the truth.

EN (Nicomachean Ethics) is by far one of the most relevant texts I have come across. It looks directly into human functions and decisions and explores the origin, nature, and functioning of virtues in a fuller depth.
