i feel like i never know the moral of her stories like someone left poop on your bathroom carpet and you never found out why and the moral of the story is people move on from friends? but why mention the pip of it all? i hate poop talk too

hard to relate to her white middle class anecdotes, especially the chapter where she tries desperately to find a sense of identity in her name because nothing else really can for her. i do not relate to that at all. i don’t find the writing bad, ‘m just not her audience necessarily

the writing is a little quirky but not necessarily bad. the stories so far have been pretty interesting, with the pony problem being the most memorable and reasonateable for me. “that the real proof that i have tried to love and that people have tried to love me back was never going to fit in a kitchen drawer” was a good line
